BUD D. MITCHELL

 Bud D. Mitchell was the last child born to Ricey M. J. Mitchell and his first wife Martha Driver. Bud was born Dec. 3rd 1845 in Marion Co. Ga. and died Jan 1st 1917 in Jackson Co. Fl. Graceville. He is buried at Galilee Methodist Church Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Ann Williams in Butler Co. Al. on August 28th 1873, she was the daughter of Andrew Williams and Melissa Underwood. They were married by George W. Lee.  Elizabeth was born  Feb 18th 1858 and died Jan 26th 1943. she is buried with Bud at Galilee.

 Bud went into the Confederate Army  in 1864  at the age of 18. He was in a brief skirmish in Mobile then went back to Montgomery Al, and received assignment to guard troops at Notasulga. The war ended while he was on a six day furlough in 1865. Bud was a private in the Alabama home guard. Children of Bud and Elizabeth:

2.Molly Mitchell born Feb 22nd 1878 died July 25th  1948  She married J.B. Vickers .

3.Andrew Mitchell born May 2nd 1880 died December  21st 1916 . He married Belle Vickers .

4.William J. Mitchell born 1886 and died 1940. He married Lee Davis March 19th 1914
