It will be remembered that Elijah Payne Esq, of Beaver Creek, died about five or

six weeks since.  Two or three weeks afterwards his wife followed him to the

spirit land.  On Sunday morning the 8th inst. Aunt Lottie Shiver, his

mother-in-law, for years a member of his household, also went over the river to

rest under the shade of the trees.

A remarkable coincidence in respect to the death of those worthy people is, that

they all departed on Sunday morning and all about the same time in the day.

C.  James Abijah Payne Sr., b. Feb 13, 1880, d. Jan 18, 1914.  He married Estelle (Stella) Bush, b. 1885, daughter of Zachariah Bush and Savannah Arkansas Rollins.
