RICEY MADERIAS JOHN MITCHELL

Ricey Maderias John Mitchell was born January 25th 1804 in Green County Georgia, and died September 1st 1890 in Mckenzie Alabama Butler County. He is buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church in Mckenzie Alabama. He married 1st Martha Driver in Georgia around 1826, They had seven children . She died in Marion County Georgia  ten days after giving birth to Bud Mitchell. He then Married Rhoda Ann Elizabeth Howell sister of Andrew Morman Howell. They were married in about 1845 in Marion County GA.She was born April 25th 1819 in Georgia and died May 11th 1909 in Mckenzie Alabama Butler County. She was the daughter of Andrew Howell and Mrs. Morman.She is also buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church in Mckenzie Alabama

1.Elizabeth Mitchell (Betsy) born abt 1831 in Ga.died in Conecuh County Al. she married Riceys second wife's brother Andrew Morman Howell. She was his second wife.

2.Anderson Mitchell born abt 1833 in Marion Co. Ga. died July 3rd 1833 at Gettysburg Pa. (Civil War)

3.Cinderella Mitchell born abt 1835 in Marion Co Ga.

4.Martha Ann Georgia Mitchell born March 15th 1838 in Marion Co. Ga. Died May 28th 1918 in Mckenzie Alabama Butler County. She is buried at Elizabeth Primitive  Baptist Cemetery in Mckenzie Al. She married Joseph Warwick (warrick) October 13th 1858. Joseph went to war (civil war) and never returned).

5.Elva Mitchell born abt 1840 in Marion Co. Ga.

6.Mary Polly Mitchell born feb 3rd 1842 in Marion Co. Ga. died jan. 21st 1926 in Mckenzie Al. Butler Co. never married. She is buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church in Mckenzie Al. Butler Co.

7.Bud D. Mitchell  born Dec 3rd 1845 in Marion Co. Ga. he died Jan 1st 1917 in Jackson Co. FL. He married Annie Elizabeth Williams August 28th 1873 in Butler Co. Al. by George W. Lee. He is buried at Galilee Methodist Church Cemetery in Graceville fl. Jackson Co.

2. Rhoda Ann Elizabeth Mitchell born March 13th 1846 in Taylor Co GA. (was Marion) died march 5th 1900 she married George Washington Lee Sr. on Feb. 17th 1864 at the home of R.M.J. Mitchell Sr. She is buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church in Mckenzie AL. Butler Co.

3.Litorah Taylor Mitchell born June 24th 1847 in Marion Co Ga. died May 17th 1917 in Monroe Co. Al. she married Thomas Jefferson Grantham on May  25th 1865 in the home of R.M.J. Mitchell Sr, by Elder G. Bogett. She is buried at New Home Primitive Baptist Church in Monroe Co. Al.

4.Zachary Jackson Taylor Mitchell born Oct. 21st 1849 in Marion Co. Ga died Feb 18th 1930 in Mckenzie Al. Butler Co.He is buried at Elizabeth Primitive Church in Mckenzie Al. Butler Co.. He married 1st Mary Ann Minyard on July 4th 1871 at the house of Thomas Minyard's by George Washington Lee Sr. His second wife was Sarah Ann Elizabeth Gavin . He married her on June 9th 1887 at the home of William Haywood Gavin (Georgiana). They were married by W.P. Wright.

5.Vina Jane Mitchell born abt 1850 in Butler Co. Al. died abt 1885. Buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church In Mckenzie Al. Butler Co. 1st person buried there. She married Samuel Parker.

6.Winnie Ella Mitchell born nov 20th 1855 in Butler Co.Al. died sept 26th 1931 in Butler Co. Al. she is buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptsit Church in Mckenzie Al. Butler Co. she married Alfred Young Lee on Oct 3rd 1877 at the home of R.M.J. Mitchell Sr. they were married by George W. Lee.
