STERLING MITCHELL

   Sterling Mitchell was the son of Henry Mitchell and Sarah Maderias. He was born about 1777 in N.C. and died before1917. He married Elizabeth Brewer  August 31st 1800 in Green Co. Ga. She was the daughter of William Brewer.Sterling Mitchell along with Henry Brewer his brother in law received passports to travel through Creek Nation in 1805. Sterlin Mitchell and Betsy Mitchell were married in a double wedding with Henry Brewer and Susannah Mitchell  in Green Co. Ga. William Brewer  evidently the father of Henry and Betsy Brewer vouched for both couples at the ceremony.After Sterlings deat his brother Robert Maderias John Mitchellserved as administrater of his estate in Jones Co. Ga. His wife Betsy Brwer remarried in Jones Co. Ga. on April 20th 1820 to Isham Cadenhead.Children of Sterling and Betsy:
