Zachary Jackson Taylor Mitchell was the son of Ricey
Maderias John Mitchell Sr. and Rhoda Ann Elizabeth Howell.He was born October
28th 1848 in Marion Co.Ga. And died February 18th 1930 in Mckenzie Butler ,Co.
Al. He married 1st Mary Ann Minyard July 4th 1871.They were married by George W.
Lee. She was born abt.1841and died Aft.1880.She was a widow of a Civil War
soldier. He then married Sarah Ann Elizabeth Gavin on June 9th 1887. They
were married in the home of her brother William Haywood Gavin in Georgiana
Butler Co.Al.. They were married by W.P. Wright. Sarah was born October 30th
in Fl.and died December 8th 1916 in Butler Co. Al.. She was the daughter of
Samuel Gavin and Nancy Harrell. Both Zachary and Sarah are buried at Elizabeth
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Mckenzie Butler Co, Al.Children of Zachary
